Chennai, India – may 2022 - A book on career guidance titled ‘100 TIPS for career choices and success in life’ written by Fr. Raj Mariasusai SDB was released by the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr M. K. Stalin. It is a collection of 100 columns of various studies and job opportunities. It is a book that bridges the gap between education and employment. The columns were written by the author for hundred weeks continuously in DTNEXT, an English daily from the 'Daily Thanthi’ group, India’s leading Tamil newspaper.

Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic - May 2022 - With the participation of 42 chapter members, representing all Salesian presences in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico, the 22nd Provincial Chapter of the Province of the Antilles (ANT) began on May 9 at the Salesian Center for Promotion and Spirituality "Pinar Quemado." "A Healthy and Committed Province with Challenges to Achieve" was the title of the report on the state of the ANT Province by Provincial Fr Jose Pastor Ramírez in the official opening act. "The Provincial Chapter is the fraternal gathering where local communities strengthen their sense of belonging to the Province by dealing with some specific issues. We keep in mind the following words: fraternity, discernment, listening, and vision, from which we must always start," said Fr Pastor Ramírez. Before formally beginning the Provincial Chapter, the chapter members participated in a retreat led by Fr Jorge Santiago. Until May 14, Salesians will reflect on charismatic identity and work to create a Province as St. John Bosco dreamed of it.

Santa Tecla, El Salvador - April 2022 – The Salesian School "Santa Cecilia" received the symbols of World Youth Day Lisbon 2023 on April 27. The symbols travel the five continents to evangelize and create spaces for reflection and prayer among the world's youth. The symbols of WYD, consisting of the Pilgrim Cross and the image of Mary "Salus Popoli Romani," are joined in El Salvador by the images of St. Romero and the blessed martyrs Father Rutilio Grande, Brother Cosma Spessotto, Manuel Solórzano, and Nelson Rutilio Lemus. The "Santa Cecilia" School had the joy of hosting the symbols for three days.

Sarrià, Spain - May 2022 - The diocesan Caritas of Barcelona recently visited the Salesians of Sarría to present them with the "Schools with a Heart" award, in consideration of their commitment to educating the younger generations to values and raising the students' awareness of different social realities. Chufa Muntañola, coordinator of "Schools with Heart," and María Carme Piulades, Caritas volunteer, presented a plaque crediting the Salesians of Sarría with the due recognition. "From Caritas, it is a pleasure to deliver this plaque so that you can continue to work on the value of solidarity and to commit yourselves to make young people aware of other realities," commented the Caritas volunteer. For his part, Rafael Rodríguez, Head of Pastoral Care at the school, stressed the commitment of the institute to Caritas and how its shares its values: "Our objective is to form good professionals, but also better people who are able to prioritize the values of solidarity and equality."
