Mbuji-Mayi, D.R. Congo - April 10, 2022 - As part of the Extraordinary Visit to the Africa Congo Congo Vice-Province (ACC), Fr Alphonse Owoudou, Councilor for the Africa-Madagascar Region, visited the Salesian community of Mbuji-Mayi. Fr Owoudou met with the Salesian Family, some future collaborators of the new work in Mbuji Mayi, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, and the bishop of the diocese of Mbuji-Mayi, Msgr. Bernard Emmanuel Kasanda Mulenga. The Regional Councilor celebrated the Palm Mass in the parish of "St John Bosco" in Mbuji-Mayi and met members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians, the Salesian Family, and several young married couples.

Santiago, Chile - March 2022 - During March the new national-level Councilor of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) was appointed. Fr Bernardo Garcia, current Rector of the Shrine "Mary Help of Christians - Temple of National Gratitude", succeeds Fr Eduardo Castro, who has carried out his years of service to ADMA with commitment and dedication. Furthermore, the national ADMA, which operates in six zones throughout the country, has begun its formation for 2022, with various activities of sharing, reflection, deepening, and prayer.

Campo Grande, Brazil - March 2022 - With the blessing of Mary Help of Christians offered by the Provincial Fr Ricardo Carlos, the Salesian chapter members of the "Sant'Afonso Maria de' Liguori" (BCG) province concluded the work of the XXVIII Provincial Chapter. Four intense days of study, work, prayer and reflection were spent at the "São Vicente" Institute in Campo Grande. The first day of the Chapter was dedicated to a moment of spirituality, led by Fr Nivaldo Pessinatti, who spoke in the morning on the identity of consecrated religious in Salesian pedagogy. In the afternoon, guidelines on the dynamics of the work were provided. The group studies and analyses began on Wednesday, March 23, with an analysis of the contributions of the Salesian communities to the text of the Provincial Organic Project (POI) previously updated by the pre-chapter team. Five lay people working in Salesian presences or members of the Salesian Family also participated in the group work. After a full day of study, the new text was unanimously approved by the Chapter Assembly. On the last day, the liturgical solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, the Mass was presided over by the Bishop Emeritus of Campo Grande, Msgr. Vitório Pavanello, SDB, who, at the end of the celebration, also led the Act of Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, in spiritual communion with Pope Francis and the whole Church.

Shillong, India - April 2022 - On April 2, the internationally renowned choral group "Aroha Choir Shillong", in collaboration with the Don Bosco Youth Center of Shillong, organized a concert at the auditorium of the Salesian house aimed at raising funds in favor of the Ukrainian population victims of the war. Venetia K Warshong, soprano singer of the choir, who won the prestigious award "Lilian Dunn Lyngdoh Mawlong", charmed the audience of the auditorium with classical and opera pieces in six different European languages. She was accompanied by the famous pianist Pauline Warjri, founder of the "Aroha Choir" and "Aroha Children's Choir", and piano teacher. Fr Orphindro Lyngkot, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Shillong (INS), and other authorities were also present at the concert.
