Pune, India - August 2021 - On 21 August, in the parish of the Sacred Heart of Yerwada, the Salesian Michael Gaikwad was ordained a priest by Rt.Rev. Thomas Dabre, Bishop of the Diocese of Pune.

Melbourne, Australia - August 2021 - The long-term international volunteer program of the Salesian Province of Australia-Pacific (AUL), called the "Cagliero Project", was unable to send its volunteers abroad due to the pandemic. Director Lauren Hichaaba said: “During this time, we've been working on developing long-term volunteer placements in Australia. We are thrilled to have some large communities in Australia ready to host volunteers in 2022 and beyond. We will continue to closely monitor border closures and as soon as they are reopened we'll begin to send volunteers back to placement communities abroad." Also, government guidelines for international travel will be followed and each country and location shall be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. For the moment, applications continue to be collected for placement communities inside Australia.

Bolivia - August 2021 - The Congress of the Association of Salesian Cooperators of the South Pacific Caribbean Region was held in August with the motto "A New Spring". Its aim is to verify the achievement of goals set for 2015-2021. Over 300 Salesian Cooperators took part in the event, which was led by world delegates Bro. Dominic Nguyen Duc Nam, SDB, and Sr. Lucrecia Uribe, FMA, in the presence of coordinators from various regions. Asmiriam Montilla, World Councilor of the South Caribbean Pacific Region, presented a report on the "State of the Association in the Region". Antonio Boccia, World Coordinator of the Salesian Cooperators, spoke on the theme "The Association in the world"; the coordinators presented the state of each Province while the formation was entrusted to Pablo Farfán, Councilor for the Formation of the Salesian Cooperators of the South Pacific Caribbean Region.

Huelva, Spain - September 2021 - The Salesians of Huelva hosted the presentation of the "New shoes for those who need them most" campaign, an initiative of the "La Caixa" Foundation, in collaboration with the Municipality of Huelva. It will allow every year, 1,871 minors from families in vulnerable situations, to have shoes to wear. This program is being conducted together with other agencies that carry out important social works in the city, such as the "Carabela Youth Association" of the Salesians of Huelva. The “La Caixa” Foundation will allocate approximately 18,000 euros for this purpose, and enable distribution of shoes for children and adults.
