Turin, Italy – April 2024 - A meeting of those responsible for pre-novitiates from numerous European Provinces took place in Turin Valdocco on 22-23 April: Austria (AUS); Czech Republic (CEP); Croatia (CRO); Germany (GER); Central Circumscription Italy (ICC);  Piedmont and Valle d 'Aosta District Italy (ICP); Lombard-Emilian Italy (ILE); North-East Italy (INE); Sicily Italy (ISI); four Provinces in Poland: Warsaw (PLE), Pila (PLN), Wroclaw (PLO) and Krakow (PLS); Slovenia (SLO); two Provinces in Spain: Mary Help of Christians (SMX) and Saint James  they Greater (SSM), Hungary (UNG) and the Vice-Province of Malta (MLT). Fr Ivo Coelho, General Councillor for Formation, encouraged discussion on the journey of the Salesian Congregation in view of the next General Chapter and an in-depth study of the draft of the new Ratio Formationis. There was also a reflection coordinated by Fr Enrico Ponte, Novice Director at Colle Don Bosco, on the subject of the community dimension of the Salesian vocation in the desire to coordinate different approaches in the prenovitiate experience. In the exchange of different experiences, the desire emerged to be involved in the current challenges in the field of faith formation enlivened by Christian hope.

Campo Grande, Brazil – April 2024 – Discussions, analyses and votes on topics covered in the 29th Provincial Chapter of the St Alphonsus Liguori Province of Campo Grande, Brazil concluded on the afternoon of Thursday, 18 April 202. Having begun the previous Tuesday with Mass and retreat chaired by Fr Assis Moser, SDB, the work was divided into four teams who analysed the texts sent from Rome to all Salesian presences and which had previously been analysed by the pre-Chapter commission on the basis of the contributions sent by the confreres. During three intense days, Chapter members reflected on the centrality of Jesus Christ in the Salesian mission, especially with regard to service to young people; and they elected Fr Adalberto Alves de Jesus, Rector of the Salesian presence in Indápolis, as Provincial Delegate to the GC29 and Fr João dos Santos Barbosa Neto, Director of the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Corumbá, as his substitute.

Wrocław, Poland – April 2024 – A meeting of the Youth Council was held at the headquarters of the Salesian Wrocław Province , involving boys and girls representing the local communities. During the meeting, also motivated by the Youth Ministry Delegate, Fr Mikołaj Wyczałek, the participants focused on various aspects of Salesian life, with particular attention to the role of the leader. There was also talk of events of the Youth Chapter and the Oratoriada, traditional events that continue to have an impact on the life of the communities despite the passage of time. An important moment was the meeting with the representatives of the other groups of the Salesian Family in the province, and there was also time for fraternity, play and shared spirituality. The youth conference was considered to be extremely fruitful and opened up new prospects for the future.

Lonavla, India – April 21, 2024 – On 21 April 2024, 72 Salesians from the Salesian Province of Bombay (INB) gathered in Lonavla for the second session of their Provincial Chapter (PC2024). The session focused on the theme "Passionate about Jesus Christ, Dedicated to Young People." Fr Joaquim D’Souza preached  a recollection, summarizing themes from previous General Chapters, from GC 20 to GC 28. Day two began with the Eucharistic celebration led by Fr Blany Pinto, highlighting the importance of listening to the voice of the Lord. Fr Savio Silveira, the Provincial presented a comprehensive report on the State of the Province, proposing priorities such as youth-at-risk services and digital engagement. The INB Economer Fr Gregory D’Almeida presented the financial report of the province since the last chapter and expressed gratitude for community support.
