Suva, Fiji Islands - March 2019 - The Salesian community "Don Bosco House" of Suva visited a family, composed of a 76-year-old man and three of his grandchildren, who reside in a humble house near the parish of "St. John Bosco”, recently founded. The aim of the visit was to help the family make the environment in which they live safe, an area that required reclaiming. For the Salesian community "Don Bosco House", which currently consists of 10 Salesians in initial formation and four formators entrusted with the "St John Bosco" parish, it was a small gesture to reach people most in need. The Salesian communities of Suva (Fiji Islands), Auckland (New Zealand) and Alafua and Salelologa (Samoa) form the Pacific Delegation of the Province of Australia, with a total of 30 Salesians.
Fuiloro, East Timor - March 2019 – Every month, the Vice Province of East Timor (TLS) organizes the meeting of directors to help the Superior of the Vice Province in his service of animation and government. On 12 March, the directors of 10 canonically erected houses and the Salesian in charge of two presences gathered to hear the talks by Fr João da Costa Boavida, SDB, centered on the theme of Chapter V of the Salesian Youth Ministry Reference Framework.
La Paz, Bolivia - March 2019 - The meetings called "Campobosquito" carry out the educational and training programs of young people of the Don Bosco Popular Schools network (EPDB in Spanish) of La Paz-Oruro. The first meeting in February saw the participation of 141 young people and 24 animators from the youth group Sociedad de Alegría, or Cheerful Society, coming from nine educational units of El Alto. At the second meeting, held on 8 and 9 March at the "Don Bosco Pampahasi", 81 young people and 20 animators from four educational units in La Paz took part. The next meeting is scheduled in Oruro with 120 participants.
Yaoundé, Cameroon - March 2019 - On March 15 and 16, the 4th edition of the "Spirituality Weekend" was held on the theme "Holiness: a challenge for today's young people". The event, organized by the Salesian community "Don Bosco" of the Yaoundé theologate, saw the participation of 150 young people. There are many activities planned: Via Crucis, conferences, penitential celebration, listening and accompaniment, nocturnal Eucharistic adoration, a mini-concert and a concluding Mass.
