RMG – How do we accompany young people in their prayer life?

26 October 2016

(ANS - Rome) - Next month, from 16 to 20 November, at the initiative of the Department of Youth Ministry, there will be a Seminar in the Salesianum in Rome on the theme "Accompany the life of prayer". To get a better idea of the value and significance of this initiative we talked to Fr Miguel Angel García from the Youth Ministry Department.

"The spiritual life is celebrated in the liturgy and the sacraments. However, it is nourished by the Word and by prayer,” says Fr García. "Individual prayer is a condition of authenticity of Christian life,” he adds, quoting Paul VI.

The seminar is an opportunity "to share experiences, to recall the insights of Don Bosco, to remember the importance of prayer for vocational discernment, and also to find out what are the possibilities, the tasks, the difficulties, the methodology, and the programmes that will help our young people in their prayer life."

The full interview is available on ANSChannel in the original version in Spanish, subtitled in English and Italian.
