The current annual report presents sustainable and effective projects, such as the "Child Friendly Cities", in several states of India. Children and young people become active protagonists in the fight against child labor. In Quetta, Pakistan, girls of Christian and Muslim faith go to school together and share perspectives for the future. Also thanks to Don Bosco Mission Bonn, young people from Myanmar and India, with a difficult past and often linked to the world of crime, have had the opportunity to change their lives forever.
In the capital of Sierra Leone, Freetown, girls who were forced into prostitution, can now return to hope for a better future. The project is part of a European "Misiones Salesianas" campaign in Madrid and is an example of the strengthened collaboration between Salesian Missionary Offices.
"We need strong alliances to improve the lives of children and young people all over the world," said the managing director of Don Bosco Mission Bonn, Nelson Penedo. "In close collaboration with the Don Bosco nel Mondo foundation, we have been supporting young people for almost 50 years. Commitment to the rights of children and young people is the right path for the development of a human society," concluded Pinedo.
