"Keep believing to the end" is the motto chosen for the 2016 Games. It has to do not only with sport, but is intended as a value to be transmitted to all the participants to be incarnated in their lives.

The 2016 Games are the first to be hosted jointly by two countries, Slovakia and Austria. "At the end of the 2014 Games they asked me if I would organize them again. I said yes, but I did not expect it to happen so soon. We accepted on condition that there was another host country," said Radovan Rumanovič, SDB, Director of the event. Two hundred volunteers from Salesian oratories all over Slovakia are collaborating to ensure the success of the event.

The International Salesian Youth Games are based on three pillars: the sports experience, the organizational experience and the spiritual experience. The big opening ceremony, Eucharistic adoration, the final Mass, the Meeting Tent - a chapel in the entertainment area – and the "Valdocco" area for leisure ... these are all good practices learned from the 2014 Games

There will also be upgrades and improvements: in Bratislava there will be a repeat of the experience called "EXPO", an evening programme in which each national delegation will be given time. There will also be a repeat of the area called "Valdocco", where athletes and volunteers can have fun, relax, get the latest news and see photos and videos of the event.

The Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, welcomed this initiative and sent a video message to the young people from Spain.

All updates will be available on the event website http://www.pgsi2016.sk/en/ and on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/pgsisk/
