(ANS – Wrocław) – Six European schools from Hungary, Spain, Cyprus, France, Italy and Poland met at the Salesian School  "Don Bosco" in Wrocław as part of the Erasmus+ project: FOREST AS NATURAL EUROPEAN HERITAGE.

(ANS - Monteortone) - From April 14 to 16, the workshop ("formative laboratory") of the Association of Salesian Cooperators of Italy, Middle East, and Malta Region was held in the Salesian house in Monteortone, in the province of Padua. More than 100 people, including Provincial Councils, referents of animation sectors, and facilitators, experienced three days of preparation and discussion, on the theme of lay commitment in society: "To be a leaven of humanity, if not now when?"

(ANS – Sliema) – The Past Pupils and Friends of Don Bosco from Malta, Italy, Slovakia, Hungary, and Spain spent four days of training in Malta between 27 April – 2nd May 2023 developing a new Erasmus+ Project to support unemployed young people to access the labour market by helping them use modern digital means.  The participants included both professional and young past pupils and friends of Don Bosco who are working in the educational and social sectors. The project aims at creating training programmes which help young people with fewer opportunities to have good and quality jobs.

(ANS - Rome) - The book "L'educazione cattolica nel Magistero della Chiesa universale. Una sintesi introduttiva" by three prestigious professors of the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS) - Fr. Cesare Bissoli, Fr. Sergio Cicatelli, Fr. Guglielmo Malizia - and the late Prof. Fr Carlo Nanni, Rector Magnificus of UPS for two terms (2009-2015), who passed away in 2020. This is a volume of great significance as it offers a synthesis of the Church's Magisterium on Catholic education.

(ANS - La Cuesta) - On the morning of May 2, more than 50 students from Salesian houses came to the Tenerife North airport to welcome the Rector Major of the Salesians, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, at the beginning of his visit to the Canary Islands. The atmosphere of familiarity and affection was felt from the very outset, with the young people welcoming the 10th Successor of Don Bosco with songs, words of welcome, and the presentation of various gifts, such as the medal of Our Lady of Candelaria.

(ANS - Rome) - As of today, the fifth video in the series "It's Time for Chapter 28" is available online, in which the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, illustrates the fifth action plan: "ABSOLUTE PRIORITY for the young, the poorest and the most abandoned and defenseless."
