(ANS - Rome) - "Digital health" conditions many aspects of life and relationships today: at school, in educational and leisure environments, and in the family; it involves the safe, responsible, and healthy use of technology. Recognizing, therefore, its extreme relevance, the Sector for Youth Ministry and the Sector for Social Communication have decided to promote a training course of three meetings deputed to address the issue of digital health of adolescents and young people.

Mauro Parmeggiani, and to the Superior General of the Salesian Oblates of the Sacred Heart, Mother Graziella Benghini, the news that the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints in its Ordinary Congress of Jan. 11, 2023, gave juridical validity to the diocesan inquiry for the Cause of Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God Giuseppe Cognata (Agrigento Oct. 14, 1885 - Pellaro July 22, 1972) of the Pious Society of St. Francis de Sales, Titular Bishop of Farsalo, former Bishop of Bova, Founder of the Institute of the Salesian Oblates of the Sacred Heart, closed in San Vittorino Romano on Oct. 1, 2022. This follows the verification carried out regarding the formal aspects of the procedural Acts and the consistency of the evidentiary apparatus: number and quality of witnesses, documents collected.

(ANS - Rome) - On January 25, 2023, as part of the work of the General Council, the Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, with the consent of the other Council members, decreed the canonical erection of the Salesian Province of Tanzania (TZA). The new Province shall be named after St. Artemide Zatti and will be based at the Dar Es Salaam-Oyster Bay institution.

Maurizio Palazzo, chapelmaster of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, has composed a musical piece for the Salesian Family Spirituality Days held in Valdocco Jan. 12-15. The new oeuvre is inspired by Strenna 2023’s message, and is entitled "Vita in noi - Life in Us."
