(ANS - Lahore) - Monsoon rains, this year of particular intensity and duration, combined with melting glaciers in the Himalayas and the widespread presence of garbage clogging the sewers have generated a deadly situation in Pakistan for thousands of people, who have lost everything they had to flooding. Nearly half the country was flooded. The Salesians have offered their cooperation from the beginning; the presence in Lahore was not affected, but from the house in Quetta, several aid projects were started to help the population most damaged by this calamity.
(ANS - Buenos Aires) - Argentine priest Fr. Eduardo Meana, a Salesian and author of numerous songs that for decades have been helping young people and adults throughout Latin America to encounter God, wrote the lyrics of the hymn for the canonization of Artemide Zatti: "¡Creí... prometí... sané!" (I believed... I promised... I was healed!)

(ANS - Viedma) - In the presence of the mayor of Viedma, Pedro Pesatti, the local bishop, Monsignor Esteban Laxague, SDB, and Fr. Pedro Narambuena, SDB, pastor of the local Salesian community, the Deliberative Council of the city of Viedma named Artemide Zatti Patron of the city, capital of the Province of Rio Negro.
(ANS – India) - BOSCOM South Asia conducted a seminar on ‘Indian Digital Media Laws: An Overview of Indian Digital Media Laws and Their Impact’ on September 29, 2022. The seminar was organized as part of a series of ongoing sessions for the Salesian School of Social Communication (SSSC). Mr. Prabhakaran Ramachandran, an eminent attorney and Chairman and Founding Partner of two law firms, Pravda Law Associates for Litigation and Lincoln Global Law Chambers (LGLC), was the resource person for the session.
