(ANS - Bacău) - On 5 September 2022, the Foundation "Sf. Ioan Bosco" of Bacău opened the doors of the first Salesian school in Romania with great joy. The mission of the Don Bosco school is based on the Preventive System transmitted by the Saint of Youth, thanks to which it aims to respond to the numerous challenges of today's society. Thus, the Salesian school offers young people an integral education focusing above all on three aspects: education of the conscience, education to love, and finally education to the society -all of which are necessary for the harmonious development of a child. The values underpinning the school thus include education, love and faith.

(ANS - Madrid) - The Salesians of Spain through various channels of Social Networking have reached out to more than 56,000 through the 572 campaigns -as per their report on the activities carried out in 2021.

(ANS - Kinshasa) - "In the realities of the world where you touch the impotence of solving at the root of the problems that cause poverty and marginality, the Salesian presence in the field of schooling is most valuable," says Fr. Daniel Antúnez, president of "Missioni Don Bosco," on the occasion of the International Day of Literacy, which is celebrated today, Sept. 8, and thinking about the realities he encountered during his missionary journey in the two Congo, Kinshasa and Brazzaville.

(ANS - Mestre) - September represents a time of a restart for many Salesian Provinces, which in this period resume the programming and planning of activities for the entire pastoral year. This is also the case for the "San Marco" Province of Northeastern Italy (INE), which from Sept. 2 to 5 initiated a series of coordination meetings, accompanied by the General Councilor for Youth Ministry, Fr. Miguel Angel García.

(ANS - Rome) - "Those who lead Salesian administration at the local or national level assume a task of great responsibility today. The Economer is like a locomotive pulling the train, even if the Provincial sets the course with his advice. Our economy needs such 'locomotives of life' so that the fundamental principles of Don Bosco's pedagogy - reason, loving-kindness and religion - are always part of economic action in Salesian institutions." The words of Br. Jean Paul Muller, Economer General of the Salesian Congregation, represent very clearly the importance of having correct approaches, visions and projections of the Congregation in the world of economics; and therefore also explain the importance of the now upcoming "SDB Change Congress" (Rome, September 19-23, 2022).

(ANS – Panjim) – Rector Major of the Society of Saint Francis De Sales and head of the Salesians all over the world, superior of Don Bosco institutions in 134 countries, 10th Successor of Don Bosco, Father Angel Fernandez Artime installed Father Clive Telles as the fourth Provincial of the Province of Panjim on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Panjim.
