(ANS - Kyiv) - Whether in the eastern or western regions, in the heart of the country, or on the front lines, after more than 100 days of the war, in Ukraine, one never knows when the air raid sirens will wail their screams of fear in the ears and hearts of the inhabitants.

(ANS – Turin) – On the 1st and 2nd of June, the General Assembly of Don Bosco Network gathered in Valdocco for its bi-annual meeting. The representatives of the different Salesian NGOs and Mission Offices active in development cooperation flew in from Europe, New York, and India. “For the first time after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, we were able to gather all representatives. We were also very pleased to welcome Fr. Alfred Maravilla and Br. Jean-Paul Muller as guests at our meetings, even though their schedules were already very busy with the summer session of the General Council. It shows as well the importance of DBN for the congregation,” states Fonny Grootjans, Network Coordinator.

(ANS - Turin) - A traditional, yet profoundly new appointment: this is the semi-annual gathering of the Congregation's General Council, which officially began last Wednesday afternoon, June 1, 2022, and will extend until Tuesday, July 26. What makes this summer plenary session of the General Council special is that it is taking place at the Salesian Motherhouse in Valdocco, due to the ongoing renovations at the Salesian headquarters in Rome.

(ANS – Budapest ) - A solemn Mass took place on Saturday 4 June 2022, at the Salesians Clarisseum (Budapest). The main celebrant was the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime. The blessing and placement of the reliquary of Blessed Stephen Sándor took place at the end of the Mass.

(ANS – Rome) - On 31st May 2022, fr. Alfred Maravilla SDB, General Councilor for Missions, addressed the members of the General Chapter of the Missionaries of Africa who are gathered in their Generalate in Rome starting May 16, 2022. He was invited by the Superior General,  fr. Stanislas Lubungo M.Afr., to speak to the 40 Capitulars on the Relevance and Urgency of Initial Proclamation.

(ANS - Budapest) - The initiatives planned for the placement of the Relics of Blessed Stephen Sándor, Salesian coadjutor martyr (1914-1953), which will take place tomorrow, Saturday, June 4, have begun in Budapest, with the presence of the Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime.
