(ANS - Rome) - In the current circumstances, a message from the Father and Center of Unity of the Salesian Family, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, SDB, regarding the conflict situation in Ukraine, could not but be forthcoming. "We too, as the Salesian Family of Don Bosco, and I personally, on behalf of all the groups, feel the duty to cry 'No to war!', while begging for this conflict to end and asking (and praying) for peace to come soon," the Rector Major says.

(ANS - La Paz) - For 24 years, the Salesian University of Bolivia (USB) has been part of the educational works of the "Our Lady of Copacabana" province of the Salesians of Don Bosco, who arrived in the Andean country 126 years ago, in 1896. In the complex of works of the Bolivian Province (BOL), the USB constitutes, since its foundation in 1998, the presence of Don Bosco in higher education.

(ANS – Rome) – The World Confederation of Past Pupils of Don Bosco is in contact with the past pupils in Lviv in Ukraine who are currently enduring a difficult time.  The past pupils are involved in supporting the Salesian work in Lviv as well as involved in working in organizing the Ukrainian Educational Platform that are currently helping refugees from cities that suffered the most.

(ANS - Korostyshiv) - Fr Michal Wocial, a Salesian from the Poland-Cracow Province (PLS) residing in Ukraine, shared information and considerations after the first week of war through social networks: "Most things suddenly stopped and it’s been a week since my life has been revolving around one topic. And to think I was supposed to finish my doctorate..."

(ANS – Bruxelles) – On the 4th of March 2022, the Ministers in charge of Family and Children Affairs of the 27 Member States of the European Union (EU) gathered in Paris, hosted by the French Presidency of the Council of the EU. The aim of this conference was to monitor the national implementation of the European Child Guarantee, a brand new social policy launched in 2021 by the EU to prevent and fight child poverty and social exclusion in Europe. Don Bosco International (DBI), together with SOS Children's Villages International (SOS-CVI) and other civil society organizations, was entrusted with the task of ensuring high-quality child participation within the framework of this conference. Thanks to the coordination of DBI, children, and educators from Salesiani per il Sociale (Italy), Plataformas Sociales Salesianas (Spain), and the Salesian Province of Malta were actively involved in this participatory process.

(ANS - Kyiv) - Anti-hemorrhagic drugs, first-aid medicines, painkillers, gauze, bandages... As well as blankets, gloves, atraumatic scissors for cutting clothes and shoes or power-banks: these are just some of the many needs that the Salesians in Ukraine have indicated in these days of great suffering for the entire population. The international mobilization of the Salesian Family continues and is at work precisely to support the Salesians in helping the population.
