(ANS - Madrid) - Approximately 650 Spanish and Portuguese youngsters will participate in "Campobosco 2018" from 29 July to 7 August. Organized by the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM), this meeting is aimed at young people aged 19 and over, youths with experience within Christian groups and preferably animators in the Salesian youth centers. The participants will go on pilgrimage to the places where the Salesian charism of Don Bosco and Mother Mazzarello was born and spread.

(ANS – Wrocław) – The Salesian High School from Wroclaw, Poland, every year has a wide range of programs and training, youth exchanges that have been permanently included in the school’s activities. The European projects, the beneficiaries of which is the Salesian High School from 2004, emphasize formal and non-formal education aimed at developing the skills of students, teachers and employees, exchange of experience, and building relationships.

(ANS – Cairo) – Through the Salesian Missions “Sunrise Project” for refugees and vulnerable Egyptians, 400 people are receiving support and 80 past graduates were recently invited to participate in in-depth seed fund grant training. These graduates submitted entrepreneurial projects to the Sunrise team who chose to fund approximately 40 projects.

(ANS - Rodeo del Medio) - The Shrine of Mary Help of Christians of Rodeo del Medio hosts the best organ in all of Argentina. It was donated by General Rufino Ortega (father) and used for the first time over a century ago.

(ANS – Tura) – The Salesian Province of Guwahati (ING) has inaugurated in July a centre for training India’s “creamy layer”, the civil service officers of the country in Tura, Garo Hills. Christened Don Bosco Academy (DBA), the centre provides training in collaboration with India’s premier civil service trainer, Alternative Learning Systems (ALS) at Don Bosco College, Tura. The centre aims to reach out to students of Garo Hills and adjoining regions. It has the backing of the entire province, the local church, government and lay collaborators.

(ANS - Rome) – On 23 July, the directors and heads of Communication of ecclesiastical institutions gathered at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. The idea came about via the collaboration between the University and the Social Communication Offices of the Salesians; its aim: to find opportunities to share mutual knowledge and foster collaboration between the various Social Communication offices that work every day to publish and broadcast information on the Church and on Christianity, and to spread the Good News.
