Puerto Ayacucho, Venezuela - December 1927 - At the end of 1927, Fr Enrico de Ferrari, the then Provincial of Venezuela, left Caracas to visit the Venezuelan Amazonia, accompanied by Fr Carlos Engel. The journey lasted until April 10, 1928, a time that allowed him to know and get in touch with the natives, to see and learn about their way of life, so as to be able, later, to send missionaries.
