Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Italy - 1867 - In 1846, Mamma Margherita left her home to go to be a mother to the boys of the Oratory of Don Bosco. She went there carrying everything she had: a necklace and a gold ring, which were sold to buy bread for the oratory's guests. In 1867, when Don Bosco was given a portrait of Mamma Margherita at the age of 67, he exclaimed: "It's her, she lacks nothing but words."
