The first Salesian festive oratory

Peru - On 8 December 1891 in the popular San Lázaro neighbourhood of Lima, now called the Rimac district, the first Salesian festive oratory  as inaugurated.

1909 - Punta Arenas in Chile

1909 - Visit of the future 4 successor of Don Bosco to Punta Arenas in Chile. Msgr. Fagnano is in the centre, Don Ricaldone to the left.

On 3 October 1915, at the height of World War I, Fr Silvio Porrini, SDB, sent a message of greeting to the superiors; in the bottom of the picture, in which the priest appears with some soldiers around an image of Mary Help of Christians, is written, "From the front line, I send my respectful greetings, asking you to bless me and my regiment."
