(ANS – Rome) – In a festive atmosphere, the 35th edition of the Days of Spirituality of the Salesian Family has come to an end, with the presence of hundreds of participants of the Salesian Family and the constant accompaniment of Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major.

The morning commenced with the report of Fr. Andrea Bozzolo SDB, who presented the Salesian reading of Amoris Laetitia. “The particular interest of the Church on the reality of the family is due to the awareness of the crisis that this institution is now going through in our society. Especially in the western world and above all because there is the conviction that the family has the great responsibility of taking care of the transmission of Faith,” he stated.

The second part of the morning was dedicated to the presentation of experiences of groups whose work is particularly devoted to families. A very significant experience was the presentation of the group “Hogares Don Bosco”, a 50 year-old experience in Spain, and the accompaniment of the Families done by the Salesian Cooperators of Slovakia. “Hogares Don Bosco –Andres and Carmen explained – is organized in groups of couples, who freely accept to live the Salesian spirituality and try to do a serious journey of human, Christian and family growth. An experience that has grown with the strength of a charism that has animated this group Hogares Don Bosco”.

At the conclusion of the morning there was an hour of Eucharistic Adoration, especially focused on the family and in which Fr. Thomas Uzhunnalil was also remembered.

The evening of the third day was a moment of encounter of the groups of the Salesian Family who reflected on initiatives of concrete commitment to living the Strenna of the Rector Major: We are Family!

At the end, a great feast of all the groups of the Salesian Family concluded the day.
