Netherlands - “Don Bosco Rijswijk” brings home meals to elderly and lonely people

01 April 2020

Rijswijk, Holland - March 2020 - The "Don Bosco Rijswijk" youth center also had to temporarily close its doors due to measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic. The employees of the center, led by coordinator Marlies Cuppen, have decided to set up a home meal service for elderly, sick and lonely people in the area. After distributing 800 flyers and sharing their service on the Facebook page @Don Bosco Rijswijk, the first orders began to arrive immediately, which reached a dozen in the following days. The menu is weekly and young people take care of receiving orders by phone, shopping, cooking and bringing meals. For information: This email address is being protected from spambots.
