India - Salesians in support of tribal villages
Mumbai, India - June 2020 - The "Don Bosco Development Society" (DBDS) of Mumbai, headed by Fr Rolvin D'Mello, SDB, is supporting about 2,500 tribal people living in the forest villages on the hills of Jawhar and Mokada during this pandemic period. The solidarity activities are conducted together with the local partner "Bosco Samajik Vikas Sanstha" (BSVS), directed by Fr Anaclete D'Mello, SDB, and enjoy the support of the Spanish NGO "Manos Unidas". Staff and volunteers move to villages distributing food rations for about a month, along with hygiene kits.
