South Korea - “Gelato Bosco” for pastoral activities for immigrants and marginalized youths

Seoul, South Korea - July 2020 - Inaugurated on 16 July was the "Bosco Gelato" ice cream shop, which produces Italian bio-organic ice cream, the profits of which shall be used for pastoral activities in favor of immigrants and marginalized young people. The people in charge of the ice cream shop are the Salesian Fr Pyeong-Ahn Mark KIM and Ye-seul Mary KIM, a young woman from the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM). "Bosco Gelato" is located on the first floor of the "Ha-Neul" hospital and its President Joseph Cho, knowing of the beneficial purpose of the ice cream shop, authorized the rental of the shop without any rent due; in other words, for free. The inauguration of "Bosco Gelato" was celebrated with a Mass and the blessing of the premises presided over by Fr Timothy Choi Won Chol, Superior of the Salesian Province of South Korea (KOR), with the participation of the Provincial Councilors, various faithful, FMA, collaborators and young people of the SYM, in compliance with the anti-COVID-19 rules.
