06 August 2020

Pétion-Ville, Haiti - August 2020 - With the aim of helping young people cope with Covid-19, the Past Pupils of the "Domenico Savio" Salesian Institute in Pétion-Ville distributed boxes of hydroalcoholic gel and masks at the school. A symbolic gesture to accompany the Salesian house in facing the pandemic. The Past Pupils want to accompany the young people most in need in Haitian society. For this they have also replaced the traditional chalkboards in the classrooms with more modern ones. In the Caribbean country, lessons are scheduled to reopen next Monday, 10 August 2020, and the Past Pupils, thanks to their program called "IMPACT", have made available 10 scholarships for as many students valid for the entire academic year.
Last Sunday, moreover, as a sign of continuous attention to the association, the Provincial of the Salesians of Haiti, Fr Jean Paul Mesidor, presented the new Delegate for the Past Pupils, Fr Jean Sylvaint Jeannot, who replaces the late Fr Hector Pascal.
