11 November 2020

India - November 2020 - The "Disciples" Secular Institute of Diocesan Law, or Don Bosco Secular Institute, founded in 1973 by the Salesian Fr Joseph D'Souza, which joined the Salesian Family on 22 January 2009 as the 24th group, draws inspiration from the Gospel passage of the mission that Jesus entrusts to the 72 disciples. Its members are dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel, teaching catechism, caring for the sick and serving the poor. Since February 20, as the pandemic continues, in 3 centers in India, the "Disciples" sisters have been assisting 20 orphans, 12 people with mental health problems, and 8 employees, giving them room and board, medical assistance and basic necessities.
