Panama City, Panama - November 2020 - On November 20, the Don Bosco Technical Institute (ITDB) signed an important agreement with the National Institute for Vocational Training and Skills for Human Development (INADEH), a state body of reference on the issue of vocational training, job training and entrepreneurial management. The agreement provides for technical assistance, in a strategic alliance, to train young people at social risk in the jobs required by the country's productive sectors; in addition, it certifies the ITDB as one of the national technical centers that collaborate with INADEH, and will allow for the implementation of the dual technical training program for apprentices. Both institutions will exchange experiences, resources and share methodologies to strengthen technical education in the country. The agreement was signed by Moisés Veliz Arosemena, director of INADEH, Fr Edward de La O Castellón, as Economer and legal representative of the Salesian house, in the presence of Fr Alex Figueroa and Dr. Víctor Costella, as part of the coordination of the forthcoming Job Training Center at the ITDB.
