Ukraine - April 2021 - From 14 to 21 April, the Provincial of the Salesian Province of Krakow (PLS), Fr Marcin Kaznowski, accompanied at the beginning by the Provincial Economer, Fr Gabriel Stawowy, paid a visit to the Salesian presences in Ukraine in Korostyšiv, Žytomyr, Peremyšljany and Bibrka. The visit to Odessa was postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The Provincial began his visit on 14 April from Korostyšiv, where he met the Salesians of the community and the faithful of the Salesian parish. On April 15, he went to Kiev, to the Dominicans, where he gave a conference on the protection of minors, followed by a meeting with the bishop of the diocese of Kiev-Žhytomyr, Msgr. Vitaliy Krivitskiy, SDB. On April 16, he went to Žytomyr, where he talked with the mayor, to also talk about the construction of a new school building. Then he met with the young people and collaborators of the “Vsesvit” Salesian school, and with its benefactors. The next day, he visited the Salesian houses in Peremyšljany and Bibrka, where on 21 April he gathered with all the Salesians in Ukraine.
