Thailand - “Don Bosco Pending Meal”: “suspended meal” helps poor and restaurateurs

26 July 2021

Bangkok, Thailand - July 2021 - The Planning and Development Office of the Salesian Province of Thailand organized the "Don Bosco Pending Meal" project. The project foresees that the Salesians, thanks to donations from their benefactors, buy meals in restaurants indicated by the “Don Bosco Pending Meal” sign. In this way the poor, migrant foreigners and homeless people of the Krungthep Kritha area, who live in the Salesian Provincial Office's vicinity, can enter those premises and receive free take-away food as current health measures prohibit eating meals inside restaurants. In this way the Salesians help both needy people who find food, and restaurateurs who can earn some money through their work.
