Italy – Casa Don Bosco Museum in the heart of "Art with those who are part of it"

12 October 2021

(ANS - Turin) - The "Abbonamento Musei" (Museum Pass) association, which links some of the most prestigious and characteristic cultural centers of Piedmont, Lombardy and Valle d'Aosta, has launched a new initiative to accompany tourists and people interested in history, art and culture in their adventures of discovery: it is “L’Arte con chi ne fa parte - Art with those who are part of it”, a proposal that will allow you to visit the participating museums with a new vision altogether, because it will be the founders, the first collectors, the entrepreneurs, the nobles and the sovereigns who will guide you along the evocative visits and routes. The Don Bosco House Museum also takes part in the initiative, which has completed little more than a year after its inauguration, and having now completed its final layout, can thus become a key player thanks to the presentation of the figure of Don Bosco.

Within the project, the Don Bosco House Museum offers two guided tours:

The first package - Saturday 16 October 2021, at 15:30 - tells of a life marked by “Salesian” dreams that have changed the lives of millions of young people all over the world. A visit that leads to the discovery of the main events in St John Bosco’s life in Valdocco. Dreams are the common thread that will accompany the discovery of the main places and historical events.

The second package - the following Saturday, 23 October 2021, again at 15:30 - is a journey that starts from the courtyard of Valdocco and leads to the most remote corners of the Earth. From the cellar of the oratory to Japan, from the Rondò della Forca to Brazil. The Valdocco courtyard is open to the territory in which it is located, precisely because it is a point of meeting and dialogue. It is the space of play, running around, theater and prayer for the young.

"Art with those who belong to it" is an opportunity to get to know museums through the most interesting of voices and stories of their protagonists. And the Don Bosco House Museum by joining the initiative continues its path of increasingly profitable and effective inclusion among the museums of Turin and Piedmont.
