Caracas, Venezuela - November 2021 - The Salesians of the initial formation houses of the "St Luke" Province of Venezuela (VEN) gathered for their first meeting with the aim of reflecting, evaluating, and orienting their lives in the light of the fourth programmatic line of the GC28: “Formation to be SALESIAN SHEPHERDS TODAY”. The meeting was led by Fr Rafael Montenegro - VEN Provincial and Fr Jorge Bastidas - Provincial Delegate for Youth Ministry. It was attended by various formation teams of the formation houses. Fr Montenegro stressed that formation being a long process, which lasts a lifetime, docility to the Holy Spirit to discern what God desires for each one of us is of paramount importance. In addition, he emphasized the importance of being "experts" at it, and that it would call for a sincere dialogue and openness to the formators, for better personal accompaniment which the formators need to prevail on those in formation.
