Spain – Project Managers Meet of the Network of European Salesian Schools & Training Centre

(ANS - El Escorial) - The eleventh meeting of the Network of Project Managers and staff of the European Projects of Salesian Schools and Vocational Training Centers was held from 18 to 19 November with the participation of over 90 people from 9 European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Malta, Poland, Slovenia and Spain.

The meeting was promoted by the Youth Ministry Sector with the participation of the General Councilor Fr Miguel Angel García Morcuende. The meeting had a two-fold objective: to provide all participants with a brief update on the novelties of the areas and priorities of the European Union for 2021-2027 and to share initiatives and projects of the various Salesian houses and Provinces.

One of the most popular presentations was that of the "DB Wave" project (Don Bosco Web for a more Accessible and inclusive VET in Europe) which began in November 2019 as an educational response from the Salesians of Don Bosco in Europe to increase the employability and social inclusion of young people through Vocational Training. In the long term, the project is expected to have an impact on approximately 60,000 students and 7,000 Vocational Training teachers in the European Union, promoting the quality of training and inclusion.
