Fr Giuseppe Quadrio has been a professor of Theology and Dean at this Theological Faculty of Crocetta and his remains are buried in the external church of the house, in an artistical tomb, significantly adorned with the image of Pentecost.

The figure of Fr Quadrio is of interest to the Salesian Family as a precious witness of Don Bosco's spirituality and charism. He knew how to combine in himself a profound intellectual capacity, a sincere spirit of obedience, closeness in dialogue and spiritual accompaniment in the concerns of each and every person, in addition to the heroic acceptance of the disease in the fruitful years of his human maturity.

At the same time, Fr Quadrio did not desist from providing the due attention to the needy youth during his formative years. When, still a cleric, he took care of the "sciuscià" (shoe shiners) at the oratory attached to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Rome. Never did he lag in his commitment towards his theological studies, through which he matured in the dogmatic definition of Mary Most Holy of the Assumption, during the pontificate of Pius XII.

The passion for Theology was harmonized with patient work on himself to grow in full docility to the Holy Spirit. He loved to define himself Docibilis a Spiritu Sancto (surrendered to the Holy Spirit) while accompanying the many young Salesian students of Theology at the International studentate of Crocetta. Sensitive to life in common, he sensed the missionary potential linked to the "Preventive System", and thus became capable of counsel and spiritual friendship with many who were touched by his wisdom and kindness.

His illness was the test of his spiritual depth. He endured the incurable disease, which crushed him at just 41 years of age, with pragmatism, patience and the same time recognizing even at this painful trial, the mysterious design of his religious and priestly calling.
