Tiruchy, India - December 2021 - The Councilor for the South Asia Region, Fr Biju Michael, and the Superior of the Salesian Province of Tiruchy (INT), Fr Agilan Sarprasadam, unveiled the logo for the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the Province, which will be celebrated in 2024. The INT Salesian Province was born on 5 August 1999 with the clear mission of centralizing the peripheries. After laying its foundations, the Province has grown territorially and numerically. In 1999 it had 19 presences (of which 8 were canonically erected) and 148 Salesians (54 priests, 7 brothers and 87 clerics). It currently has 31 presences (of which 27 canonically erected) with 243 Salesians (151 priests, 8 brothers, and 84 young Salesians). Its lines of action are in the human, spiritual, social, and ecological fields.
