Spain – Mary Help of Christians conquers the kitchens of MasterChef Junior

(ANS - Seville) - The youngest and most talented chefs on television returned to the Spanish network "La 1" giving an excellent representation of the Salesian spirit. The casting of the ninth edition of “MasterChef Junior” in fact included among the competitors Pablo and Sara, two students from the Salesian centers of Triana and Trinidad, in Seville, who were able to convey the same enthusiasm and values ​​that they breathe at school.

The young aspiring chefs of the culinary talent show, produced by RTVE in collaboration with Shine Iberia, showcase all the culinary knowledge acquired in the kitchen by their parents and grandparents... The new generation of mini-chefs once again surprises everyone with their spontaneity, love of cooking and ability to share.

Among the challenges they face are incredible desserts, the preparation of healthy and energetic menus, work with fruit, complex avant-garde cuisine, blind tastings and the preparation of dishes in the manner of their ancestors – without, however, being able to use today’s tools and technology.

Rubén, Ariel, Carla, Isabel, Pablo, Sara, Abril, Olivia, Alexia, Marcos, Guillem and Gonzalo compete sportingly to succeed Aurora and be crowned winners of the 9th edition of “MasterChef Junior” in Spain.

Among the ten competitors, two are students of the Salesian school. Pablo, 10, presented himself in the introductory video directly from his school’s courtyard and with a photo of “La Sentaíta” - that is, Mary Help of Christians seated, as she is devotionally represented and venerated in Seville. And in telling viewers about himself, in addition to saying that he loves flamenco, he testified that every year he counts down to celebrate Holy Week in Seville, which he never misses.

Sara, 8, also showed her character and talents during the program. She pointed out that she loves attending her school, as well as extracurricular activities, especially violin lessons; and she also explained how the root of her culinary passion lies in the fact that she has been helping her parents in the kitchen since she was 2 years old.

These two little aspiring chefs have so far fulfilled their dream of participating in MasterChef Junior and experiencing an adventure they will never forget. Certainly, Mary Help of Christians and Salesian values ​​will accompany them not only in this challenge, but throughout their lives.
