26 January 2022

Nairobi, Kenya - January 2022 - "Don Bosco Tech Africa", in collaboration with the International Formation Center of the International Labor Organization (ITC-ILO), has, over the course of a year,  trained as many as 400 people - managers and officials of Salesian TVET Centers - to achieve better management of the TVET. Among these are 80 who have been selected to participate in the formator-training sessions held in Nairobi in two phases: the first for staff of Salesian TVET in English-speaking countries, and the second for those in the French-speaking countries of Africa-Madagascar - also absorbing staff from the Portuguese-speaking countries in the two appointments. The first phase began on January 24 and lasts 5 days, with 33 participants from Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Sudan, South Sudan, and Rwanda. Participants are offered all the information they need to better manage TVET, and by the end of the course, they are expected to be able to foster change in their institutions and nations. In addition, they will be called upon to train others in their own countries to implement more efficient and sustainable TVET Centres in Africa.
