Seville, Spain - June 2022 – Yesterday morning, June 9, Fr. Ángel Asurmendi Martínez, Provincial of the "Spain-Mary Help of Christians" (SMX) Province, with the approval of the Rector Major and his Council, announced the appointment of the new Rectors of the Salesian communities of the Province of which he is the Provincial Superior. He also announced that all Rectors awaiting confirmation at the end of the first three-year term have been ratified. Fr. Asurmendi Martínez expressed words of thanks for the new appointments and for the confreres who are finishing their terms. Citing the Salesian Constitutions, he also recalled that: "The provincial and the rector, as animators of dialogue and participation, guide the pastoral discernment of the community so that it proceeds unitedly and faithfully in the implementation of the apostolic project."
