Elche, Spain - June 4, 2022 - More than 1,500 children and youth filled Elche's "City of Sports" last June 4, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; coming from 15 Salesian houses, they competed in various sports: basketball, handball, volleyball, soccer, and tennis. The inauguration was presided over by the city's mayor, Carlos González Serna, accompanied by Sports Councilor Vicente Alberola and Salesian Director of the Elche presence Fr. Miguel Gambín. The meeting also had a solidarity aspect as each participant contributed one euro to a project of the NGO "Bosco Global."
