Thailand - Spiritual Recollection and Annual General Meeting Thai Salesian Cooperators

Huahin, Thailand – July 2022 - From 14-16 July, the 70 members of the Salesian Cooperators of Thailand participated in the spiritual recollection and the annual general meeting under the theme "Follow Me". Fr. Niphon Sarachit animated this event held at the Salesian Retreat House - Huahin, Prachuabkhirikhan. Throughout 3 days of serious moments with God, all the members meditated on being a 'disciple of Jesus' in the style of the Salesian Cooperator. They had powerful moments of devotion, including the reception of the sacrament of reconciliation, participation in the Holy Eucharist, adoration and benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, praying the holy rosary and the Way of the Cross.  The annual spiritual renewal was also an occasion for a fraternal meeting with the other members, encouraging and intensifying the bonds among them.

Moreover, Sr. Nipha Rangapphit, the Provincial of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, made a visit and offered valuable thoughts for the spiritual life of all the members. The spiritual renewal ended with the celebration of the Holy Mass on the morning of 16 July 2022. During the service, one new member - Bibiana Busaya Kitsawad, of the Salesian House Chapter, made the solemn promise. All the members expressed their heartfelt welcome and encouragement to the new member.

Now we have 189 salesian Cooperators in the Thai province. Mr.Pornsawad Lertvitayavivat is the coordinator. Fr. Peter Niphon Sarachit is the SDB delegate for the Salesian Cooperators while Sr.Maria Suphawan Chotiphon is the FMA delegate.
