Like last year, the event is being held entirely online. On the first day alone, more than 400 participants connected virtually to reflect on and study social action movements in Salesian works together.

The event is gathering together provincials, animators, managers, provincial economers, rectors of works, whether Salesians or lay people, pedagogical coordinators, project coordinators, technicians, educators, members of the administrative team, and pastoral coordinators. The objective of the meeting is to mobilize all members of the local realities of the RSB-Social, as a dynamic of articulation, integration, and strengthening of Salesian works and social presences, in order to respond more and more efficiently and effectively to the challenges of the current context.

Opening the activities was the introductory prayer, led by provincial animator Sister Dircione Gonçalves Amorim, of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA). Afterward, the Coordinators of the National Council for Salesian Youth Ministry, Sister Nádia Caetano, FMA, and Fr. Daniel Oliveira, a Salesian, spoke about Youth Ministry, its identity, and its mission.

Immediately after the opening of the event, RSB Executive Coordinator Maria Dantas, Sr. Silvia Aparecida, and Fr. Nivaldo Pessinatti presented the new strategic planning of the Salesian Network of Brazil, an important tool for organizational guidance and decision-making.

The first report was led by Sr. Celene Couto, FMA, and Fr. Leandro Brum, who gave a reading of the current scenario and the state of the art of society and delivered a hopeful speech for all educators, bringing out solidarity, concern for the planet, sensitivity, the Global Compact for Education, Church documents, oratorian activities, and the current state of children and youth in the post-pandemic era.

At the conclusion of the session, there was an opportunity to present resonances and comments on the first day of activities, a moment organized by the Salesian Formation Center team.
