The registration process is divided into three stages. First, registration is done through a form, made available by the SYM Center or the Salesian house attended by the youth. Next, the local pastoral coordinator will send the registrations to the designated Provincial leader, who registers the group at WYD DON BOSCO 23. At the end of this process, the WYD DON BOSCO 23 secretariat team will validate the data received and continue the registration process directly with the WYD Lisbon 2023 organization.
Participation fees for pilgrims range from 255 euros to 130 euros, depending on the type of package chosen (with or without lodging, with or without food, with or without transportation). There are also extra packages that increase the initial offer and that, in addition to giving the opportunity to participate in "SYM DAY," and the main events of WYD, cover additional days of board and lodging.
The great objective is that the invitation made by Pope Francis to this immense youth gathering can truly reach everyone.
WYD DON BOSCO 23 is the name of the Salesian Youth Movement organization responsible for the convocation and participation of young people from the various Salesian environments around the world in WYD Lisbon 2023, so that they can live it according to the charism of Don Bosco. Thus, WYD DON BOSCO 23 wants to motivate young people to embark on this journey as a pilgrimage that will strengthen their faith, and it also wants to issue a salutary challenge to the young people furthest from the faith to know the living Jesus Christ.
The name WYD DON BOSCO 23 comes from the combination of the acronym in English referring to World Youth Day and a play on the word "with"; it is then joined by the reference to Don Bosco as the unifying force of the Salesian Family, and the date of the appointment.
The Salesian Youth Movement is a movement of communion of various youth groups and associations integrated into the youth ministry of the Salesians of Don Bosco and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, united by the educational and evangelizing proposal inspired by the spirit and style of Don Bosco and Maria Domenica Mazzarello.
