Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic - January 2023 - From January 6 to 8, at the Salesian Spirituality Center "Cesar Dal Santo," the Salesian Cooperators of the Dominican Republic celebrated the National Formative Assembly 2023, held in presence after it had been held in virtual mode for two years due to the pandemic. The assembly was held under the motto "The joy of meeting each other, return to the oratory," and was attended by more than 70 SSCC members, family and friends, including Fr. Carlos Juan Himelis Lewis, Cuban, diocesan priest and Salesian Cooperator. Fr. José Pastor Ramírez, Superior of the Salesian Province of the Antilles (ANT), presented the Rector Major's Strenna 2023 "AS THE YEAST IN TODAY'S HUMAN FAMILY. The Lay Dimension of the Family of Don Bosco." The meeting continued with a visit to the cloistered convent of the Carmelite nuns, and then the 45th-anniversary celebration of the Association of Salesian Cooperators in the country was celebrated. Finally, SSCC Provincial Coordinator Jose Ortega and SSCC Provincial Communications Advisor Arismendy Espinal presented the Province’s Strategic Plan for 2022-2025.
