Italy – "How to help young people discover the presence of Jesus Eucharist in their lives"

23 March 2023

(ANS - Rome) - "A young person desires the Eucharist but, normally, does not know it. The Eucharistic Celebration is the most precious thing Salesians can offer young people, yet educational mediation often turns out to be neutral with respect to Jesus Eucharist, whom Don Bosco placed, with Mary, as the pillar of salvation. With Fr. Roberto Carelli we will try to reflect on the logical steps that are required by a Christian educational path so that young people not only know that Jesus is important, but recognize their desire to be in Communion with Him." This is the outline of the fifth meeting of the cycle "Which Salesians for Today's Youth?"

This cycle of meetings aims to deepen the second line delivered by the Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, to the Congregation after the 28th General Chapter, which reads, "In a Congregation where we are invited by the 'DA MIHI ANIMAS, CETERA TOLLE'."

These moments of ongoing formation are promoted by the Conference of Italian Provinces (CISI) - Formation Sector and the Study Center of the Work of Living Tabernacles (OTV). And this month's in-depth theme on the passion of Da mihi animas is "How to help young people discover the presence of Jesus Eucharist in their lives."

The appointment for all is Saturday, March 25, from 9 to 10:15 a.m. (UTC+1), on the Facebook page of the Salesians of Italy and on the YouTube channel of the Southern Italy Province (IME).
