Haiti - New FMA foundation in Anses-ã-Pitres

Anses-ã-Pitres, Haiti - August 2016 - From 30 August to 1 September the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians celebrated the inauguration of a new foundation at Anses-ã-Pitres, Haiti, a town on the border with the Dominican Republic, where refugees and migrants have set up camp. The ceremony was attended by the Provincial of Haiti, Sr Aline Nicolas, a delegation of 21 Sisters, Salesians, members of other religious orders, and civil and religious authorities. The new FMA community, the 16th of the Haiti Province, is made up of Sr Marie Lucia Joseph, director, Sr Altina Altiné, Sr Antoinette Guillaume and Sr Phénise Lauture.
