Slovenia - A training project to help the unemployed

Veržej, Slovenia – 7 April  2017 – For the past few years the Salesian Institute of Marianum Veržej has been offering informal training in traditional and artistic crafts for school groups, associations and individuals. Under the leadership of Mr Ivan Kuhar, head of the Centre, and the ceramics teacher, Ursa Ambrož, a course of 180 hours was organized for the unemployed. It was supported by the Slovenia National Institute for Placement and the European Social Fund. Ten unemployed people took part. They received extensive technical and theoretical training and a certificate for the course, conferred by Fr Peter Pučnik, director of the Marianum Institute in the presence of Ms Cvetka Sreš, director of the National Placement  Institute Murska Sobota.
