Solomon Islands - First meeting of parish priests

Honiara, Solomon Islands - 30 November 2017 - The first meeting of Salesian parish priests of the Papua New Guinea-Solomon Islands Vice Province (PGS) took place in Honaria on 30 November. The Vice Province is currently responsible for three parishes: two in Papua New Guinea ("Mary Help of Christians" of Araimiri and "Mary Help of Christians" in Sabama, Port Moresby) and one in the Solomon Islands ("Christ, the King" in Tetere). Earlier, Sunday November 26, the three parish priests, together with the PGS Provincial, Fr Alfred Maravilla, had celebrated the 50th anniversary of the parish of Tetere with the parish community.
