RMG - Young people of SYM will meet with the Pope

11 August 2018

(ANS - Rome) – Today, 70,000 young people, including several hundreds belonging to the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM), from all over Italy, will meet at the Circus Maximus in Rome, and witness the desire to get busy, involved, challenge themselves, find their own way.

The meeting with Pope Francis will be the culminating moment, in which lies the reason for the whole event: the prayer vigil for the XV Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the theme "Young people, faith and vocational discernment" to be held next 3 – 28 October.

In the end, the young will be able to participate in the Notte Bianca, the White Night, which will see numerous churches in Rome stay open until late, with spaces dedicated to meeting, confessions, to the presentation of stories and faces of people bearing witness.

And at the dawn they will all meet together in St. Peter's Square for the celebration of the Eucharist with Pope Francis.
