Sevnica, Slovenia - November 2018 - On 17 November the Salesian Youth Center of Sevnica celebrated its 20th anniversary with a cultural event entitled "We are more than winners", which saw the participation of over 200 people. "The parish work after the change of the regime has expanded and many young people have found in the parish house a healthy space to have fun and learn Christian and human values, according to the Salesian style," said Matjaž Traven, one of the first animators in the oratory, who spoke at the event organized by Maja Zelič, President of the Salesian Youth Center Association, by Luka Gošek and by the animators. Then the Mayor of Sevnica intervened, Mr. Srečko Ocvirk, who awarded the Salesian Youth Center with the municipality's gold medal, and underlined the valuable work done. Fr Marko Košnik, Superior of the Salesian Province of Slovenia (SLO), added that the young oratorians are the living, cheerful and serene face of the Church in constant renewal. Then the young people of the youth center and the artist Grega Odkloplen were introduced and exhibited, with a concert of modern Christian music. Finally, Fr Matild Domić, director of the Sevnica oratory, addressed a word of thanks and blessing to everyone.
