Manaus, Brazil - December 2018 - On the morning of Monday 10 December, in the Legislative Assembly of the State of Amazonas, Fr Gennaro Tesauro, SDB, was awarded the title of "Citizen of the Amazon", in recognition of his work done for the Amazonian population. Fr Gennaro is a missionary of Italian origin, who has dedicated his life to the service of the persons and peoples of the Amazon. The tribute was given by the state deputy José Ricardo (PT) and by the deputy Luiz Castro (REDE) in gratitude for his life dedicated to the missions.
