Jabłonka, Poland - June 2019 – Taking place on 2 June, on the initiative of the Salesian Missionary Volunteer Service "Młodzi Światu" of Krakow (PLS Province), and in collaboration with the municipalities of Jabłonka and Lipnica Wielka, was the XVIII edition of the "Orawa for the Children of Africa", in conjunction with the "Children's Day of the Orawa". The event, this year in favor of the children of Syria, unfolded in two parts: in the morning the Salesian volunteers and priests went to the parishes of the Orawa region and, during the celebration of Masses, offered their testimonies to ask for support for Syrian children; in the afternoon instead a rich program of leisure activities took place: concerts, games, fairy tales for children, charity auction, awarding of the winners of the contest "Little heart for Syria", balloons for Africa, and more. Also participating was Fr Alejandro León Mendoza, Provincial of the Middle East Province, who thanked everyone present for the prayers and for this beautiful sign of solidarity for Syria.
