Campos do Jordão, Brazil - July 2019 - The National Formation Commission, with the Conference of the Provinces of Brazil, organized the National Formation Meeting of the Salesian Directors of the communities of the six Provinces of Brazil from 29 July to 2 August. The event was attended by Fr Natale Vitali, Councilor for the America South Cone Region, the Provincials Fr Asídio Deretti (Porto Alegre), Fr Justo Piccinini (São Paulo), Fr Gildásio Mendes (Campo Grande), Fr Orestes C. Fistarol (Belo Horizonte ), Fr Jefferson Luis Da Silva Santos (Manaus) and 78 Directors. The meeting is led by the team of the Regional Center for Ongoing Formation in Quito, Ecuador, with the presence of Fr Luis Miguel Timossi, Fr Salvador Delgadillo and Fr Manuel Peréz. Opening the meeting, Fr Vitali brought the greetings of the Rector Major and then affirmed: "This moment of Ongoing Formation is very important because the Director has a primary role in the Salesian Congregation and it is necessary to reflect on his figure and return to being what Don Bosco wanted of the director."
