Bogotá, Colombia - October 2019 - From September 28 to October 5, in the Salesian center of the "Niño Jesús" and in the Salesian College "León XIII", the XXXV Salesian Art Festival was held on the theme "Young art for you, for me, for everyone". The event brought together 32 delegations, 1,906 artists, children and young Salesians, led by a team of 170 collaborators and volunteers. The disciplines present in the competition were: plastic arts, visual arts, literature, dance, music and theater. During the festival, 357 art exhibitions and 203 hours of live performances were presented, examined by a jury of 26 professionals. Also, the artists participated in seminars on artistic training and evangelization. In addition to the winners of each discipline, 35 people or works that contributed to the development of Salesian art were awarded, including Fr Jaime Enrique Morales Alfonso, SDB, for his contribution during his mandate as Provincial, and the 75 years of Salesian presence in Bucaramanga.
